As the State Manager for SA, you will play a pivotal leadership role within Zurich’s General Insurance business, leading our mid to large commercial segment. You will work closely with brokers and customers to deliver tailored insurance solutions across industries such as construction, property, manufacturing and financial lines.
You will shape and deliver the state strategy, drive sustainable and profitable growth, and lead a portfolio of complex and strategically important accounts while strengthening Zurich’s presence in the South Australian market.
This is a leadership role where your impact extends beyond the state. You will set the cultural tone, lead high-performing teams, and bring together underwriting, distribution, claims and risk engineering to deliver strong outcomes for customers and brokers while managing risk effectively.
You will also be responsible for the following:
- Leading the state to achieve profitable growth in line with Zurich’s General Insurance strategy
- Setting clear priorities and direction for state-based team to deliver strong commercial outcomes
- Building and sustaining senior broker and customer relationships across the market
- Driving collaboration across sales, underwriting, claims and risk engineering for a whole-of-account approach
- Providing visible market leadership on complex and high-profile deals
- Establishing a strong operating rhythm, governance and performance reporting for the state

In order to be successful, you will have the following:
- Extensive senior leadership experience within the Australian General Insurance market
- A proven track record of driving profitable growth and delivering strategic change
- Strong experience leading and developing high-performing, engaged teams
- Deep commercial, financial and market acumen with a customer-first mindset
- Demonstrated ability to build a strong market profile and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience navigating complex deals and partnering across multiple functions
