Zurich is currently looking for a Senior Mail Specialist to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team. RCIS is one of the leading crop insurance providers in the U.S. RCIS offers insurance protection in all 50 states through a national network of about 3,600 licensed agents. RCIS offers a wide range of private product coverages, including a diverse selection of named-peril options, supplemental and stand-alone insurance products as well as federal crop insurance plans through the United States Department of Agriculture’s Risk Management Agency. Together with RCIS agents, we protect America’s farmers and ranchers.

As a Senior Mail Specialist, one will be responsible for a variety of tasks:

 

  • The distribution of incoming mail & packages for Crop Offices

  • Marketing orders are gathered and fulfilled

  • Mail Center e-mails marketing orders, remote employees are viewed and responded to

  • Employee letters, printing, supplies are addressed and handled

  • Vendors deliveries and pickups are handled for Fed Ex, USPS, and Pitney Bowes Presort

  • Other Mail Center Tasks as Assigned

  • Ability to lift boxes of up to the weight of 50lbs

  • Willing to learn and get certified to run forklift

  • Attention to details and good communication skills

  • Performance of repetitive tasks such as scanning, filing documents, fax transmissions, e-mail correspondence, disburse incoming mail, write letters, and address changes

  • Complete department assignments such as research issues and perform data entry

  • Research and resolve departmental issues

  • Implement approved business processes

  • May manage correspondence and respond to general written or verbal inquiries

  • May train others on basic job duties of the department

  • Ability to work independently and is a self-starter

  • Able to multi-task and prioritize work as needed or required

  • Maintain required trainings and attend department meetings as required

  • Assist team members and co-workers with workload, as requested

 

Basic Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of work experience
    OR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and No prior experience required in the Clerical area

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Mail Center Experience

  • Crop Insurance industry experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed hourly rate for this position is $18.17 - 25.05, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 5%.
