Are you ready to make a meaningful impact and start your career in a truly global environment? We invite you to join our dynamic Group Audit team at Zurich as an Actuarial Audit Intern. Here, you’ll be part of our mission—working with colleagues across the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific to keep Zurich safe and deliver insights to our stakeholders.
In this role, you will support the end-to-end delivery of actuarial audit engagements, working closely with Audit Managers, Directors and wider teams. You will contribute to audit activities across planning, fieldwork and reporting, while developing a strong understanding of actuarial risks and the audit process.
Working with more senior members of the team, you will assist in risk assessments, help develop audit scope and support the evaluation of key risks and the control environment. You will also contribute to data analysis, documentation of audit work and the preparation of clear, concise audit outputs.
You will work closely with colleagues across the Actuarial Centre of Excellence, gaining exposure to different markets, products and actuarial topics. This is more than just an internship—it’s an opportunity to build your technical, analytical and communication skills in a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
What can you expect?
As an Actuarial Audit Intern you will have the opportunity to:
- Support High Quality Audits: Contribute to the delivery of actuarial audits, supporting the team in achieving high-quality outcomes on time. Assist in audit testing, documentation and analysis across the audit lifecycle.
- Develop Technical Knowledge: Build your understanding of actuarial topics including reserving, pricing, capital and model governance, with exposure to IFRS 17, SST and Solvency II concepts through real audit work.
- Work with Data and Tools: Support data analysis and testing activities, gaining experience in how data, analytics and emerging tools are applied within audit engagements.
- Contribute to Insightful Reporting: Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and reports, helping ensure findings are clear, evidence-based and focused on business impact.
- Build Strong Connections: Work collaboratively with audit teams and interact with stakeholders, developing effective communication and relationship skills.
- Foster a Learning Culture: Take an active role in your own development, learning from experienced actuaries and contributing to a culture of curiosity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Embrace New World Skills: Develop foundational skills in data, IT and emerging technologies, recognising their role in delivering effective audit outcomes.
- Support Wider Audit Activities: Contribute to team initiatives such as audit planning support, knowledge sharing and internal projects.
What Makes You a Great Fit?

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Interest in actuarial topics and the insurance industry
- Currently studying degree/masters in Actual Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline,
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn, take initiative and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Basic knowledge of tools such as Excel; exposure to coding or data tools is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Language Skills: Fluent verbal and written English language skills.
- Available for at least a 6-month part-time/internship program.
