Associate Market & Master Data Manager

Our opportunity

 

The Associate Market & Master Data Manager is responsible to support and oversee governing, processing and distributing of all financial/ investment related master data/ pricing as well as supporting independent asset valuations for Zurich’s global investments according to globally defined standards and processes. The Market & Master Data is playing an important role transforming data into a business values which supports business strategies and decision making. This role also require to demonstrate strong shareholder-value oriented mindset and client-focused and provide coaching to more junior team members.

 

Your role

 

 

As an Associate Market & Master Data Manager your main responsibilities will involve

 

  • Conduct daily operational and closing tasks in terms of pricing and reference data setup and maintenance and ensure data accuracy and consistency on the system/ platform by following the defined global standards.
  • Execute all the all predefined global (and group) requirements regarding reference data/ pricing and conduct Global Data Governance & Control Framework (GCF) as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with Zurich’s governance and risk frameworks (e.g. Sarbanes–Oxley Act (SOX), Risk and Control Engine (RACE) etc.)
  • Support and conduct audit relevant tasks.
  • Support and design improvement/ automation on all existing processes especially those manual processes and/or with high risk areas (i.e. high probability, high severity).
  • Proactively contribute on continuous improvement of data quality, integrity and consistency in the data supply chain.
  • Work with local/ regional stakeholders to identify country specific requirements, special data treatment or any other local demands which must be met together with the team.
  • Collaborate and support Change Management/ Project Team on assigned initiatives.
  • Continuous know-how and information exchange between the Regional Team and other global team members in terms of processes, incidents, documentation or other open topics ensuring transparency.

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As an Associate Market & Master Data Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • Degree in Finance related field
  • Experience in Business analyses and requirements engineering
  • Experience in Data management and governance
  • Experience of Data Management/ Investment Accounting Systems
  • Familiar with terminal products of Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters or similar data vendors
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and non-traditional financial instruments and markets including structured securities, especially complex instruments like ABS/MBS, index linked bonds, and syndicated loans
  • Good knowledge of investment operations and accounting processes and how it is related to the data area preferred
  • Fluent English
