Our opportunity

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Intelligent Developer to join our international Data & Business Intelligence organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for building new and enhancing existing applications with BI development tools, making sure they run in a robust and performant manner. Solutions will be developed for both local and global customers, working with both cloud and on-premise solutions.

 

You will proactively expand your expertise in both existing and new functionalities, along with best practices in the BI space, applying these learnings in your daily job.

 

 

Your role

 

As a BI Developer your main responsibilities will involve:

 

  • Working with colleagues and business stakeholders, using agile methodologies to develop data-driven business solutions.
  • Developing BI solutions, working with both small local and large-scale global BI solutions, using a mixture of cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Develops design standards and guidelines for the Microsoft BI stack.
  • Applies advance data modelling practice using Data Vault.
  • Integrates data analytics with DevOps practices for an agile deployment.
  • Implements end-to-end BI solutions with little supervision.
  • Collaborating with a solution designer and platform manager, contributing robust and high-performance deliveries.
  • Applying constant learning, supporting both innovative and high-quality solutions.
  • Writing technical documentation, ensuring maintainability of developed solutions.
  • Contributing technical expertise, supporting analysis, estimation and design processes, as well as improving existing applications.

 

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As a BI developer, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • University level education or equivalent.
  • Experience creating solutions with BI tools, especially with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI and MSSQL.
  • Knowledge of other BI tools such as Informatica, Azure Data Factory and Python is an advantage
  • Team collaboration skills
  • Analytical capabilities
  • Familiarity with analytics (modeling, prediction, segmentation) preferred
  • Having experience in Insurance is highly desirable.
  • Excellent English and communication skills.

 

Technical Skills:

 

  • Highly skilled in different integration solutions and architectures.
  • Solid experience in advanced data modelling techniques such as Data Vault and Kimball.
  • Proven deep experience with Microsoft BI technologies:
    • SQL Server Database: T-SQL, Performance optimization, automation, etc.
    • ETL with SSIS and Azure Data Factory
    • DevOps with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Azure or AWS cloud solutions (IAAS, PAAS), and hybrid landscapes with on-premise and Cloud-based components.
  • Desired certifications and trainings:
    • Azure Fundamentals or AWS Cloud Practitioner
    • Azure Data Engineer Associate or AWS Data Engineering

Primary work location is Barcelona, Poblenou. The possibility of working remotely in another part of Spain is also feasible.
