We Are Waiting for You

 Hi there!

I am Laura, the recruiter for this position. Nice to meet you!

First, a little bit about what I like the most about working at TDC: The environment here is incredibly collaborative and innovative. Our tech-driven mindset fosters continuous learning and growth, creating an atmosphere where everyone can thrive.  Now, I can't wait to share this exciting journey with you at the Zurich!

First off, THANK YOU for considering our company. We understand that finding the right opportunity can be tough, but I’ll try to make it easier.

Who Are We?

Let me introduce us. You’re reading about Zurich Insurance Group, a global leader in insurance, but this role specifically pertains to ServiZurich. Established in Barcelona in 2006, ServiZurich operates as an integral part of Zurich Insurance Group, providing cutting-edge technological solutions and support to Zurich's local and global business units.

In addition to our technological solutions, we excel in investment, administration, and accounting, ensuring comprehensive support for Zurich's diverse operations.

What Can You Expect

Help drive Zurich’s transition from a legacy .NET/SQL platform to a cloud-native Databricks solution. You’ll enable global risk accumulation capabilities and play a central role in delivering data-driven products, notably the Risk Exposure Data Services (REDS) platform. This role requires strong data analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and a foundation in data governance.

Why This Role Is Right for You

  • You’ll shape Zurich’s cloud-enabled risk data platform and contribute to regulatory compliance and strategic decision-making.
  • You’ll work with a collaborative team of risk modelers, data architects, and engineers to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • You’ll gain deep exposure to modern data platforms and governance practices, setting you up for long-term career growth.

As a Business Analyst / Data Analyst – (REDS - GAM-IT) your main responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and support the delivery of data-centric IT products, with a focus on REDS, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and operational resilience.
  • Support and maintain the legacy .NET/SQL platform during the transition: capture user requirements, analyse current behaviours and workflows, and translate findings into clear user stories and migration plans.
  • Design, document, and oversee scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines on cloud platforms (Databricks, Azure), ensuring performance and traceability.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical solutions.
  • Document the legacy platform’s logic and functionality in detail (including data flows, business rules, and integration points) to guide migration and knowledge transfer.
  • Analyze, interpret, and transform heterogeneous data sources to enable informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate across functions (risk modelers, data architects, developers, risk governance) to deliver integrated data solutions.
  • Own data quality, lineage, and governance; establish and enforce standards for accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
  • Facilitate and participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospective) and ensure alignment between business and tech stakeholders.
  • Support UAT and release planning, with emphasis on performance, security, and measurable business value.
  • Advocate for platform consistency and robust data architecture; liaise with Data Architects and Information Security.
  • Provide functional consulting to internal consumers and data providers, driving adoption and value realization.
  • Collaborate with experts across technical domains to share best practices and accelerate delivery.
  • Continuously develop skills through real-world projects and contribute creatively to the team.

What Makes You a great Fit?

While we’re not seeking perfection or expecting you to save the world, we believe that if you meet some of these requirements, you’ll be a fantastic fit for our team. We are waiting for you!

As a Business Analyst / Data Analyst – (REDS - GAM-IT)  your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Expert knowledge of T-SQL (Transact-SQL) for complex querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning.
  • Extensive experience with data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) and data transformation techniques.
  • Experience with data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, or ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Kafka, etc.).
  • Strong grounding in data modeling, data transformation, data visualization, and data governance concepts.
  • Proven ability to design, document, and support data flows in modern cloud environments; comfortable with end-to-end data lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting legacy platforms and running requirement-capture workshops; able to analyse existing systems and translate requirements into clear user stories and migration tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; able to navigate a matrixed organization and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Track record of agile product delivery in technical contexts (Scrum, Kanban, or equivalent).
  • Ability to bridge business and technical teams, especially in data-centric domains.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
  • Experience coordinating UATs, releases, and performance/security validations.
  • Familiarity with risk modeling or exposure data in the insurance domain is desirable.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, or similar data-platform technologies.
  • Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and internal risk frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Basel risk metrics, credit/risk exposure concepts, or actuarial data considerations.

  • To support your work-life balance, we have adopted a flexible working model.
