Who Are We?

Let me introduce us. You’re reading about Zurich Insurance Group, a global leader in insurance, but this role specifically pertains to ServiZurich. Established in Barcelona in 2006, ServiZurich operates as an integral part of Zurich Insurance Group, providing cutting-edge technological solutions and support to Zurich's local and global business units.

What Can You Expect

Our team strives to provide the most realistic view of risk, ensuring portfolios are resilient and well understood. You’ll help develop and deliver this product by working with catastrophe researchers, model developers, platform developers, and model analysts. This role requires strong data analysis skills, stakeholder management, delivery ownership, and a solid understanding of integration with vendor platforms for loss modeling and transformation.

Why This Role Is Right for You

  • You’ll work with a collaborative international team of risk modelers, data architects, and engineers to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • You’ll gain deep exposure to modern data platforms and governance practices, setting you up for long-term career growth.

As a Data Analyst / Business Analyst – Portfolio Modeling (GAM-IT) your main responsibilities will be:

  • Support the delivery of data-centric IT products in the Group Accumulation Management area, with a focus on catastrophe portfolio modeling.
  • Design and oversee data ingestion flows and transformation logic, ensuring scalability, traceability, and performance.
  • Design, document, and oversee scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines on cloud platforms (Databricks, Azure), ensuring performance and traceability.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with risk modelers and technical teams to define workflows for exposure data and results from catastrophe models.
  • Analyze, interpret, and transform heterogeneous data sources to enable informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate across functions (risk modelers, data architects, developers, risk governance) to deliver integrated data solutions.
  • Facilitate and participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, retrospective) and ensure alignment between stakeholders.
  • Support development, testing, and release planning, with emphasis on performance, security, and measurable business value.
  • Advocate for platform consistency and robust data architecture; liaise with Data Architects and Information Security.
  • Provide functional consulting to internal consumers and data providers, driving adoption and value realization.
  • Collaborate with experts across technical domains to share best practices and accelerate delivery.
  • Continuously develop skills through real-world projects and contribute creatively to the team.
