Our opportunity

 

We are seeking a Digital Product Manager to drive successful delivery of Zurich’s Global Pricing Platform (GPP), a business-critical Guidewire-based technology used to price Commercial Insurance policies for more than 10 lines of business in 30+ countries. This role will work closely with the GPP Business Sponsor and application delivery team, and includes both operational and strategic elements, as described below.

 

Your Role

 

As a Digital Product Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Build strong working relationships with a large, globally spread network of Local business units and Group stakeholders
  • Oversee the GPP demand management process, including providing consolidated, contextualized read-outs on incoming demand (from small changes to new product builds) to the Business Sponsor for decision-making, and closing the stakeholder communication loop on decision outcomes
  • Support the Business Sponsor to refine the product value and strategy proposition and roadmap, establish relevant KPIs, develop business cases, and secure investment from internal sources
  • Oversee E2E delivery of the GPP product roadmap, in close collaboration with project managers and the application delivery team
  • Actively monitor KPIs and business case outcomes, and work with relevant stakeholders (e.g., global line of business heads, local BU leadership, local Champions networks, application delivery team) to address deviations from target
  • Establish an overarching approach to GPP adoption and change management (e.g., training and communication strategies), and engage with global and local stakeholders to execute this approach

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As a Digital Product Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • 5+ years in digital Product Management in the insurance or financial industries
  • Expert product management and change management skills; relevant certifications valued
  • Expert knowledge of product management tools, methodology, and best practice
  • Expert communication, influencing & negotiation skills
  • Experience working in a multinational, federated environment
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels (e.g., application users, senior managers)
  • Insurance industry expertise and broad end-to-end understanding of the insurance value chain
  • Thorough understanding of the insurance marketplace, including industry practices and regulation
  • Attention to the details and ability to analyze complex business problems and dependencies, and structure and propose solutions
  • Proactive and solution oriented with the ability to work within ambiguous scenarios, with a focus on final outcomes
  • Proven track record of being a great team player while managing your time efficiently and staying positive under difficult situations
  • Strong analytical & numerical skills with an ability to identify, prepare and interpret management information
  • Ability to excel in a matrix environment managing program delivery on a virtual basis
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Additional language(s) is a plus
