As a Front Office Systems Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate in the maintenance of static data, perform regular business-as-usual (BAU) activities, and respond to user queries. Participate in regular status calls with investment management teams across different regions and contribute fresh ideas to support continuous improvement. Explore the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation tools to enhance team productivity, improve user support, and streamline operational processes.

 

  • Develop technical expertise in Bloomberg AIM and Bloomberg Terminal. Gain an understanding of investment management workflows, including order management, trade execution, compliance monitoring, and post-trade processing, while enhancing your communication skills through regular interactions with colleagues worldwide.

 

  • Work closely with teams across the full trading lifecycle, including Investment Managers, Compliance Officers, and Operations teams, gaining exposure to a broad range of business functions and processes.

 

  • Enhance your knowledge of Bloomberg AIM and Bloomberg terminals. Communication skills by dealing with end users in multiple locations from Asia-Pacific, Europe and Latin America your on-hands skills by interacting with

 

  • Contribute to the review and improvement of existing processes by identifying opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies. Support the team by performing selected BAU activities under the guidance of experienced team members while helping to evaluate innovative solutions that can increase efficiency and improve the user experience.

 

 

About the Team

 

The Front Office Systems (FOS) team, your future team, consists of five members who provide global service support and act as system administrators for the Bloomberg AIM platform. Our team plays a key global role within Zurich's Investment Management function, supporting the systems and processes that enable the management of Zurich's investment portfolios worldwide.

We support 13 locations across Asia-Pacific, EMEA, and LATAM, delivering services that cover the end-to-end trading workflow within Bloomberg, including trade execution, compliance monitoring, performance measurement, and related operational and back-office processes. Through our support and expertise, we help ensure that investment professionals can operate efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with regulatory and internal compliance requirements.

Our day-to-day responsibilities include managing user queries, resolving issues, maintaining system configurations, and supporting the technological integrations that enable data and communications to flow seamlessly into and out of Bloomberg AIM. We work closely with Investment Managers, Compliance Officers, Operations teams, and external vendors to ensure the platform remains reliable, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

As part of our continuous improvement mindset, we actively explore opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and data-driven technologies to enhance user support, streamline operational processes, and improve overall efficiency. Team members are encouraged to contribute innovative ideas and participate in initiatives that help modernise workflows and deliver greater value to our stakeholders.

  • Be pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Have a strong interest in technology, digital innovation, and the practical application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve business problems.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and a willingness to investigate issues, identify solutions, and suggest improvements.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to interact with colleagues and stakeholders across different countries and cultures.
  • Show enthusiasm for learning about investment management, trading workflows, financial systems, and market technologies.
  • Be comfortable working with data and have a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Have experience with, or a willingness to learn, tools such as Microsoft 365, Power BI, Python, SQL, Excel, Copilot, or other AI and automation technologies.
  • Have a minimum English proficiency level of B2 (Upper Intermediate), with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English in a global business environment.
  • Be self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to contribute ideas that improve processes and enhance the user experience.
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic, international environment where technology, operations, and business teams work closely together.
  • Available for at least a 6-month part-time/internship program.
