Governance & Controlling Investment Assurance Associate

What are we looking for?

 

We are looking for an Investment Governance and Controlling Associate to join in our headquarters office based in Barcelona. Your main goal will be supporting assurance, business and administrative local activities with specific investment expertise, so that local entities effectively mitigate risks in areas of investment assurance: compliance with policies, operational risk, control frameworks, assessments and reviews 

 

Your day to day will be the following:

 

  • Supporting monitoring of team, department or country compliance with internal policies and with external regulations
  • Maintaining governance documentation (e.g. charters, policies, etc.)
  • Supporting audit coordination by acting as interface between auditors and business in consultation with their manager
  • Supporting other assessments and reviews including coordination across assurance functions
  • Monitoring actions and facilitates progress reporting
  • Following up on relevant actions in consultation with assurance subject matter experts
  • Preparing relevant topical presentations and awareness / training / communication sessions)
  • Supporting implementation of procedures to ensure compliance to published policies, procedures and controls
  • Monitoring published regulation, policies, procedures and controls to support policy analysis and implementation
  • Maintaining and oversees internal control frameworks to maintain organizational standards in financial reporting and operational key controls, etc
  • Supporting generation of management oversight reports in order to communicate assurance topics to management

 

 

What do we need?

 

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) and 3 or more years of experience in related field 
  • Masters degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Law, Risk Management or 3 or more years of experience in related field
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience in Bloomberg AIM tool.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst or equivalent
  • Experienced in collaborative projects and communication with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage deliverables independently, multitasking.
  • Welcomed some audit, compliance or risk management experience.
