As an Investment Accounting & Reporting Director you will have the opportunity to:
- Acts as a force of global coordination and global process ownership of all functional accounting processes in context of Alternative Assets & Fund solutions.
- Actively manage the AI community/ Product managers on all functional accounting matters for our Private Debt & Equity, Real Estate and Hedge fund balance sheets.
- Analyzes new private/ illiquid investment request, their set-up to derive accounting and reporting implications across all accounting processes and systems, from subledger to general ledger to Group consolidation.
- Ensures compliant set-up and implementation of a high-quality function and full-service delivery across IAA’s organization with a faster time to account implementation.
- Designs, reviews and refines processes, controls, functionality and models, by identifying and applying practical best practices and guidance. Designs processes, considering industry standards. Considers new technology solutions which minimize impacts/ limitations from an end user perspective. Reviews and approves process changes, leads communication to drive the change and oversees adaptation across all delivery teams.
- Interacting with consolidation and valuation experts on the subject matter of non-traditional assets and with Asset managers and fund administrators to ensure effective data deliveries and efficient procedures with relevant insights
- Develops and build good relationships with key stakeholders, incl. executives in Group IM, APG, Group Consolidation and Reporting as well as external networking.
- Drives standardization and automation to any extent feasible, measures progress and effectiveness by a set of KPIs.
- Maintains and further develops the knowledge base, process documentation, tools to upskill SMEs, Product experts and communities, Asset Managers, Fund Administrators, Audit, outsourcing partners, working groups with peers.
What Makes You a Great Fit?

- Master’s degree in accounting, Financial Markets & Risks, Business Administration, Finance, Economics. Equivalent postgraduate studies CFA, CAIA preferred.
- 3 years of experience in Alternative Asset accounting in a senior role overlooking
- Financial Statements analysis and Fund accounting for private debt/equity
- General ledger systems / processes (SAP FI GL/FIP would be an advantage)
- Financial instruments accounting standards (e.g. IFRS)
- Understanding Financial markets, products, risks, regulations particularly for RAIF, ELTIF, LLC structures
- Excellent Communication, negotiation and presentation
- Passionate self-working, very result oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
- Analytical and conceptual thinking/ transformation
- Managed/ lead of 3-5 mid-size projects or optimization initiatives in Financial Accounting/ Consolidation or played key role in there
- Fluent English in written and oral (proficiency level)
- Good base understanding of financial mathematics
- IT affinity, use of artificial intelligence
- Strong in data science and analysis
