As an Investment Analyst in our global Reporting & Analytics team within Group Investment Management, you’ll work at the heart of Zurich’s investment strategy. You’ll partner with business users across countries to understand their analytical and reporting needs, translating these requirements into effective solutions that support decision-making and drive performance. You will analyse interrelationships of business processes, complex data and financial systems, define IT specifications and implement reporting front-end solution for our global end user base.

As a Investment Analyst (Reporting & Analytics) you will have the opportunity to:

 

 

  • Analyze investment data: Deliver insightful analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Lead quarterly reporting cycles: Actively participate in quarterly external and internal reporting cycles, preparing materials and insights for executive management, investor relations, rating agencies, and regulators.
  • Analyze and present KPIs: Analyze, interpret, and present key performance indicators
  • Build impactful reports: Develop, maintain, and enhance regular and ad-hoc investment reports, dashboards and analytics using leading business intelligence tools. Adapt solutions to evolving business needs.
  • Translate data into action: Interpret complex financial information and transform it into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Champion data quality: Ensure accuracy across reporting tools by performing robust control checks and thorough result analysis.
  • Shape solutions: Assess business requirements for reporting and analytics, translating them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Support compliance: Promote risk management and ensure governance with internal and external standards.
  • Communicate clearly: Present findings and recommendations in a way that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Innovate: Assist in developing new analytical tools and frameworks to drive business performance.
  • Lead and support BI initiatives: Drive and contribute to projects that enhance existing or introduce new business intelligence solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Streamline reporting processes, services, and infrastructure, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
  • Empower users: Provide support and training to end-users for their reporting needs.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with key stakeholders, including Investment Management, Finance and PPM teams, to identify and address reporting needs
  • Work alongside experts in various technological domains.
  • Enhance your skills with real-world experience

Your role will involve building relationships with:

 

  • Local, regional, and group-level stakeholders
  • Investment back-office and middle-office teams
  • Market and Master Data teams
  • IT teams

 

 

 

What Makes You a Great Fit?

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong grasp of investment products, financial markets, and accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP)
  • Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages a plus
  • Professional certifications (CIIA, CFA, CPA, CMA, ACCA) are an advantage

 

 

Technical skills:

 

  • 4–5 years’ experience in financial data analysis and business analytics, ideally within investment management
  • Experience in controlling, forecasting and planning processes
  • Advanced analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in data visualization tools is highly valued (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Coding skills (preferably SQL, Python) are a plus
  • Experience in data management (quality control, modeling, warehousing, governance) is an asset
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP BW, FAM/TRM, FICO) is beneficial
