What Can You Expect?
We're seeking a Junior AI Engineer – Agentic Workflows to support the development of generative AI systems and contribute to reliable, production-ready workflows.
You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to translate business problems into structured solutions, gaining hands-on experience in designing and implementing agentic workflows.
You will contribute to multi-step systems using LangGraph (or similar) and interact with leading LLM providers, while building strong engineering habits with tools such as Claude Code and similar assistants.
A key part of the role is learning to apply evaluation, quality, and observability practices to improve reliability, cost awareness, and maintainability in a guided environment.

As a Junior AI Engineer – Agentic Workflows you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to Agentic Workflows: Support the design and implementation of agentic workflows using LangGraph (or similar), following established patterns and guidance from senior engineers.
- Problem Solving & Solution Delivery: Assist in translating business problems into structured technical solutions, helping define components, workflow steps, and trade-offs for well-scoped use cases.
- Build Skills, Tools, and Agents: Implement reusable skills, tools, and agents as part of larger workflows, ensuring code is maintainable, testable, and well documented.
- Apply Engineering Judgement: Learn to choose the right building blocks for a solution by applying team best practices around skills, tools, agents, and workflows.
- Model Integration: Support the integration and operation of LLM providers, contributing to improvements in latency, cost, and output quality.
- Evaluation & Quality Support: Help implement evaluations, datasets, metrics, and guardrails to validate behaviour and monitor regressions over time.
- Data Structuring & Validation: Contribute to typed schemas and structured outputs for reliable data flows, tool contracts, and downstream integrations.
- Observability & Debugging: Help implement logging, tracing, debugging, and monitoring practices for agentic systems.
- AI-Accelerated Engineering: Use AI assistants in day-to-day work for prototyping, testing, refactoring, and documentation while strengthening engineering fundamentals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to deliver useful agentic capabilities, with support from more experienced team members.

What Makes You a great Fit?

Must Have
- Around 3 years of experience in software engineering, data science, or AI-related roles
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with generative AI technologies
- Solid Python development skills and strong software engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on exposure to LLM-based systems, including prompting, APIs, and workflow orchestration
- Working knowledge of LangGraph or similar agentic frameworks (LangChain or other orchestration frameworks acceptable)
- Basic understanding of evaluation methodologies for LLM or agent quality
- Ability to work on well-defined problems while progressively taking on more complexity and ownership
Nice to Have
- Comfort using AI assistants (e.g., Claude Code) as part of the daily engineering workflow
- Familiarity with LLM observability tools (Langfuse, LangSmith, etc.)
- Exposure to vector databases and RAG patterns
- Basic understanding of cost optimisation and token accounting in LLM systems
- Exposure to async Python patterns (asyncio, concurrent request handling)
- Experience with Azure deployment and cloud-native architectures
- Knowledge of evaluation frameworks and metrics for AI output quality
