Junior Full Stack .NET Developer

Our opportunity

 

Join a multidisciplinary team with two ambitious goals:

 

  • deliver a global, all-in-one customer mobile app that brings Zurich Resilience Solutions and Zurich’s Risk Engineering best practices and trusted risk assessment methodologies at customer’s fingertips
  • deliver a global, all-in-one internal mobile app that leverages advanced on-device technology to allow Zurich’s Risk Engineers to assess risks with a single device plus visualize risk exposure to customers while onsite

 

The Junior Full Stack .NET Developer contributes with system development projects. Undertakes software development work, typically requiring some knowledge of working practices and some business processes acumen. Provides technical advice and guidance to support the specification and development of software solutions.

 

 

Your role

 

As a Junior Full Stack .NET Developer your main responsibilities will involve:

 

  • Complete development cycle: inception, implementation, testing, deployment
  • Close cooperation with other developers, UX/UI teams, product owners, etc.
  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
  • Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
  • Document technical specifications
  • Troubleshoot development issues and provide solutions
  • Ensure software development best practices and timeliness of product delivery
  • Support ongoing maintenance of deployed solution
  • Respond to Production Support issues

 

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As a Junior Full Stack .NET Developer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • 2+ years of experience with .NET, ASP .NET
  • Experience with shared repositories
  • Experience with Xamarin, Android or iOS is a plus
  • Experience working in Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban) and tooling (Azure DevOps, Jira)
  • Developer skills (e.g., analytical skills, quality management, application design-architecture, application development tools, application landscape knowledge, application testing, programming, and IT architecture, etc.)
  • Team player
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English. Spanish and German language skills are a plus
