Are you ready to make a meaningful impact and advance your career in a truly global environment? We invite you to join our dynamic Group Audit team at Zurich as a P&C Actuarial Audit Manager. Here, you’ll be at the heart of our mission—working with colleagues from across the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific to keep Zurich safe and deliver exceptional insights to our stakeholders.
In this role, you will be accountable of the end to end delivery of a diverse portfolio of actuarial audit engagements, collaborating closely with international teams and driving high-quality outcomes. Working together with the Audit Director and actuarial managers in the team, you will provide valuable perspectives, guide audit teams, and ensure our reports deliver the best possible outcomes.
Working with more senior members of the team, as relevant, you will undertake the risk assessment audit planning, work to develop an appropriate scope, key risks and assess the environment, including leveraging Data Analytics, Assessing IT fundamental and leveraging GenAI. You will manage day to day relationships with stakeholders, building strong working relationships. You will develop high quality audit reports, including business impact and ‘so what?’ and root causes.
As a senior expert and key member of our Actuarial Center of Excellence, you will help shape the agenda by identifying emerging trends, analyzing results, and sharing your expertise. What Can You Expect?
As a P&C Actuarial Audit Manager you will have the opportunity to:
- High Quality Audits: Delivery the portfolio of actuarial audits to exceptional quality, on time and within budget. Leverage and encourage the team to use of Data analytics, assessing model governance and IT fundamentals and GenAI within the team throughout the audit process.
- Insightful Reporting: Working with senior team members, prepare and deliver clear and impactful audit reports with key findings and agreed actions to senior management and Group Actuarial.
- Build Strong Connections: Build and maintain strong day to day relationships, holding open and constructive relationships with Group Actuarial stakeholders throughout audits and any wider interactions.
- Foster a Learning Culture: Take an active role in your development and support the growth of the team. Champion a culture of experimentation and continuous learning – encouraging curiosity and role modelling a growth and learning mindset. Actively coach and upskill members of the wider Group Audit team on actuarial topics, creating an open environment for discussions.
- Embrace New World Skills: Actively enhance your new world skills: Data, IT and GenAI. Recognize their importance in delivering optimal audit outcomes and future-proofing your skillsets.
- Support wider Audit Activities: Support the development of the risk assessment, Actuarial audit plan, team meetings, trainings etc.
- Collaborate AsOne: Collaborate throughout audits with all levels to achieve the best possible outcomes on audit.
- Uphold Ethics and Integrity: Uphold and model the highest standards on ethics and integrity, ensuring compliance with all relevant actuarial and audit standards, regulations, and internal policies.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Actuarial Science or professional qualification
- +10 years of proven experience in Actuarial / Insurance Risk Management / Audit or Consultant within the Insurance industry or +8 years of experience in Actuarial Function positions
- Strong knowledge of P&C Actuarial Standards, IFRS 17, Solvency 2 and Data Analytics.
- Strong understanding of Internal Audit Standards and methodology and internal control frameworks.
- Demonstrates strong report writing abilities, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and accuracy, with practical recommendations directly addressing identified risks.
- Excellent project management skills, ability to organize teams, prioritize tasks, guide, and coach the team to deliver on time to high quality standards
- Experience in leading teams within complex international organizations with multiple cultures and in a hybrid working environment
- Good experience/understanding of the power and application of new world skills (Data, IT and AI)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong relationship management skills, with proven record of working with and influencing stakeholders across various levels.

- Passion and enthusiasm to continue to grow yourself and others around you
- Fluent verbal and written English-
- German, Italian or Spanish language skills is a plus
