What Can You Expect?
As a Senior Investment Accounting & Consolidation Expert you define operational best practices, policies and guidelines about all Investment Accounting related matters in a most practical standardized and efficient way with main focus on consolidations aspects of special entities such as SPVs and investment funds under common control.
You will be responsible for process design, oversight, analysis and delivery of accurate information necessary for the preparation of the consolidated financial statements in accordance with internal and external Reporting Standards (IFRS).
You ensure global coordination, consistency, efficiency and accuracy of end-to-end business processes that produce information throughout various platforms and systems, with main focus on SAP FSCM.

As a Senior Investment Accounting & Consolidation Expert you will have the opportunity to:
- Take functional business lead in IFRS10 consolidation projects to onboard new funds, special purpose vehicles and the application of the necessary accounting treatment incl. ownership updates in the relevant SharePoints
- Act as a force of global coordination and global process ownership of all functional accounting processes in context of consolidation including annual oversight of controls, materiality assessments and processes to ensure compliance.
- Analyze the Group accounting standards and consolidation mechanics across all accounting systems, from subledger to general ledger to consolidation and understands the interconnection of the various systems including intercompany eliminations
- Act as the accounting representative in various internal projects analyzing their impact and guiding the teams towards fulfilling the business requirements
- Drive standardization and automation to any extent feasible, measures progress and performance by KPIs, utilizing new tools and technologies
- Design, refines and documents processes and controls, considering accounting, group and industry standards reassuring robust delivery of information
- Develop and builds good relationships with key stakeholder such as Group IM, APG, Group Consolidation and Reporting and also across IAA promoting trust and collaborative environment
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
Frequent interaction with:
- Group IM functions
- Group Finance functions (Consolidation, APG, FAR, GCoA)
- IAA functions (IA&I, AI, Operations and Internal Risk)
High Level Interpreter:
- Core deliverables rely on disseminating specialized and complex information throughout all types of investments and how to apply consolidation accounting considerations across various accounting standards. Instruction or training to others within the organization, incl. senior management.
External
- Audit, outsourcing partners, working groups with peers.
What Makes You a Great Fit?

- Master degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or equivalent postgraduate studies (e.g. CFA, CPA, CMA, ACCA).
- 3 years’ of experience in accounting consolidation in a senior role overlooking
- Consolidated Financial Statements analysis along IFRS10 or other Standards like IAS28 (Equity method Accounting)
- Consolidation & General ledger systems / processes (SAP FI GL/FIP would be an advantage)
- Financial instruments accounting standards (e.g. IFRS9, IFRS13, IFRS7)
- Understanding of Financial markets, products, risks, regulations
- Communication, presentation and negotiation skills with capacity to manage a variety of stakeholders
- Passionate self-working, very result oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
- Analytical and conceptual thinking/ transformation
- Managed/ lead of 3-5 mid-size projects or optimization initiatives in Financial Accounting/ Consolidation or played key role in there
KNOWLEDGE:
- Sound knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting and subledger accounting
- Fluent English in written and oral (proficiency level)
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- IT affinity
- Strong in Excel, data reconciliation/analysis and basic knowledge of data analytics tools
