A Senior Test Analyst is responsible to deliver all test activities within the assigned projects, and to implement processes and tests accelerating techniques. You will support internal initiatives and actively participate in all phases from conceptualization phase to implementation, advice the business on best practices that protect Zurich’s best interests, assist on trouble shooting and mitigation of issues experienced by team and projects. As a Senior Test Analyst you will have the opportunity to:

• Create Test Plans in collaboration with testers and other team members (BAs, developers)
• Review and analyze product backlogs and collaborate with team members (Business Analysts, Developers, other testers) to define and/or understand acceptance criteria
• Develop test cases and test scenarios based on the system requirements, run peer-reviews and script the test cases as much as possible
• Participate in walkthroughs with respective business stakeholders
• Define and create test data for test execution
• Execute test cases as per the agreed testing plan and defined priorities, log and retest defects
• Assist with Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting of defects with developers and BAs
• Lead and participate in defect triage meetings and create test status and summary reports
• Ensure test environments are set up and available according to test plan schedule
• Training of other testers joining the team and support business user testing
• Report significant issues or concerns to other stakeholders (Product Owner, Technical lead, Test manager) before they escalate
• Add test automation plans inside CI/CD pipeline
• Identify improvements to existing testing processes or tools
• Work with test managers and other team members to ensure sharing of experiences, best practices and lessons learnt.
• Lead and manage a team of testers to work on functional test preparation and execution
• Back up for some Test management activities when test manager is absent

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology and 4 or more years of experience in Testing and Quality Management
• At least 2/3 years in insurance industry.
• 3-4 years of experience with Agile frameworks and other methodologies (waterfall, V-model, hybrid)
• Experience of business transformation.
• ITSQB Foundation Level, Certified Agile Tester or equivalent
• Good knowledge of databases, middleware, web services and related standards
• Experience with IT Governance
• Positive attitude, strong communication (verbal and written) & interpersonal skills
• Team player and able to create and work in a collaborative environment
• Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels, including teams outside of shared services and solutions
• Act as a trusted advisor for the customer by having an holistic view of the different alternatives that would provide a solution to the customer/s
• Ability to discuss technical topics in business terms, including but not limited to give presentations to an audience with different level of technological maturity
• Ability to think outside of the box and be innovative by keeping abreast of new trends, identifying opportunities to bring in change for business benefit
• Fluent written and spoken English (additionally, German would be highly valuable)
• Must have experience providing services for multiple business units and participating in cross cultural teams

Knowledge:

• Needs strong knowledge of QA & Testing Practices and understanding of quality management and development methodologies (Traditional & Agile) is highly valuated

Technical Skills:

• Working knowledge of test management tools (e.g. HP ALM, Xray, TFS, Azure DevOps) and other Agile tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
• Experience or ability to develop new skills including test automation (REST-based / SOAP API with Postman or SoapUI, front-end with Selenium / UFT, open source frameworks)
• Experience with DB: MS SQL Server, MySQL
• Nice to have knowledge in some programing languages (Java, Javascript, Python) and other tools/frameworks (Maven, TestNG, similar)
• Experience with code repository/version control tools: Bitbucket, Git, SVN or similar
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Bamboo, Azure DevOps or Jenkins
• Global, critical, innovative thinking with good presentation skills
