Zurich Insurance PLC is looking for a SAM governance specialist to join global Software Asset Management function to help us to get the most out of our software contracts, manage compliance, analyse data, draw the relevant conclusions and then work with others to implement opportunities or remediate risks. This is a challenging role, requiring a broad understanding of IT technology, service management processes and the ability to collaborate with many different stakeholder groups within Zurich Group.

 

GTO SW Asset Management comprises of an international team of SAM experts in three countries, managing a multi-million-dollar software portfolio and helping other IT stakeholders to achieve their objectives. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is open for a challenge to solve complex business problems and is interested in developing career in IT Software Asset Management function or grow in IT Service Management field.

 

 

Your role

 

As a Software Asset Management Governance Specialist your main responsibilities will involve

  • Contribute to the development of best practices, processes and procedures to continuously improve software asset management service and its costs.
  • Report on the use of software within the organisation to identify compliance gaps and areas of cost savings.
  • Provide accurate information related to software contracts, licensing rules and inventories.
  • Maintain stakeholder community and enable information sharing environment.
  • Record software contract related information to Licence Management databases, tools and trackers.
  • Generate and publish reports, and consolidate third party reporting.
  • Support governance and reporting of supplier obligation fulfilment.
  • Measure and report SAM function KPIs and software cost allocations.
  • Support internal and supplier facing governance activities.

 

Your Skills and Experience

 

As a Software Asset Management Governance Specialist your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of Hardware or Software license management tools or process framework is advantage but not essential for this role.
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Knowledge of German is an advantage but not necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to process data and work in a complex, fast phase environment.
  • Personal and professional accountability, can demonstrate a high work ethic and committed to doing the right thing, curious, willing and able to offer a different perspective, can work well in teams as well as individually.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to produce reports.
  • Possess financial and commercial acumen. Comfortable working with financial data
  • Comfortable working with Excel and huge amounts of data linked from different sources.
  • Good knowledge and general understanding of IT technologies.
  • Strong human relations skills to interface with managers and staff within the organization.
  • Takes action to manage own personal development.

 

 NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • ITIL Foundations or any other IT Governance accreditation
  • Degree in business or finance related area
  • CSAM or any other accreditation in SAM discipline
