Location: Flexible, some travel to UK offices will be required

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 depending on experience

As a Senior Pricing Actuary, you will be joining our high performing Personal Lines team to help support our growing MGA (Managing General Agent) portfolio and build on their current high quality and cost-effective service.


This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.


What will you be doing?


Reporting to a UK Personal Lines Manager, you will be responsible for the following:


  • Support the delivery of pricing and portfolio management solutions, for our MGA business’, through data analysis and modelling.
  • Demonstrate increasing knowledge of relevant actuarial disciplines and procedures, including claim trend analysis and predictive modelling, to be able to provide first class service to external and internal customers.
  • Regular reporting of key trends on Motor / Home / Travel portfolios.
  • Regular liaison with Personal Lines Business Heads, Underwriting, Reserving, Claims and Finance teams in communicating and understanding key portfolio trends.
  • Modelling and monitoring of market pricing decisions.
  • Develop & maintain actuarial systems and incorporate efficiencies or improvements as required.
  • Support and supervise more junior colleagues through coaching of technical and soft skills.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture.



What are we looking for?


  • Experience in aggregator / PCW roles, especially in Personal Lines Home markets, would be an advantage
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience gained in an Actuarial role
  • Working towards Actuarial qualifications (nearly/newly qualified)
  • Excellent knowledge of Actuarial professional guidance
  • Market, risk and business awareness
  • Good knowledge of Insurance products
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • PC Skills – MS Office suite, SQL / R, Emblem, Radar is desirable
