The Opportunity

As an MI Analyst within the Engineering function, you will be responsible for the endtoend production of accurate and timely MI reports and dashboards. You will own a portfolio of recurring and adhoc outputs, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and adherence to governance standards.

You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver and maintain MI reporting aligned to business needs, providing adhoc analysis to explain performance where required. You will also contribute to improving reporting processes to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of MI delivery.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

What will you be doing?

  • Deliver monthly and quarterly MI and regulatory reporting in line with agreed timetables, primarily using Excel and Power BI, while maintaining defined standards, controls, and governance requirements.
  • Ensure all MI and regulatory reporting meet compliance requirements, supported by appropriate documentation, controls, and adherence to reporting standards.
  • Manage data extraction, cleansing, and validation from multiple core systems to ensure consistent and reliable reporting outputs.
  • Produce clear, structured MI reports for senior stakeholders, ensuring figures are transparent, traceable, and aligned with governance and control expectations.
  • Improve reporting production processes by supporting standardisation, automation, and efficiency, while maintaining control and accuracy.
  • Support audit activity by providing accurate reporting, reconciliations, and clear evidence of compliant and wellcontrolled reporting processes.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience working in an MI, reporting, or data environment, with a strong understanding of structured report production, quality assurance, and delivery against defined deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel capability, including use of Power Query to manipulate, reconcile, and prepare data for repeatable and well‑controlled reporting.
  • Practical experience using Power BI to develop standardised dashboards and visual MI outputs.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail, with a rigorous approach to data quality, version control, and documentation standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple workloads and reporting cycles, prioritising tasks to meet monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc deadlines.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, able to explain figures, variances, and data limitations to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • A pragmatic approach, with an interest in improving reporting accuracy and efficiency by optimising data and reporting processes.
