Automation Engineer Trainee

We are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer Trainee with a passion for technology, software quality, and test automation. The ideal candidate is eager to learn modern automation frameworks, AI-assisted development tools, and software testing best practices.

Your role

As a Automation Engineer Trainee, your main tasks will involve:

  • Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright / Claude Code
  • Support web, API, and regression testing activities
  • Learn and use Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and other AI-assisted engineering tools
  • Contribute to test execution, defect reporting, and test documentation
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, and business stakeholders
  • Use Git for version control and Azure DevOps for work item and test management

 

Your Skills and Experience
As a Automation Engineer Trainee, your skills and experience will ideally include:

  • Ongoing university education (2nd to 4th year of university studies)
  • Basic knowledge of software testing concepts
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or a similar language
  • Basic understanding of web technologies and REST APIs
  • Basic knowledge of Git (commits, branches, pull requests)
  • Basic familiarity with Azure DevOps
  • Strong willingness to learn new technologies and tools
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)

Additional information

  • Internship duration: at least 1 year part-time/internship program with the possibility of prolongation
  • Location(s): Bratislava
  • Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week, possibility to accommodate working hours
  • Wage: 8 EUR/hour Gross
