- Migrate and integrate data from legacy systems into a modern Azure-based data platform (e.g. Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Storage).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using Git and Databricks Asset Bundles, ensuring repeatable and governed deployments.
- Optimize data pipelines and queries for performance, scalability and cost efficiency.
- Ensure data quality, including validation checks, monitoring and handling of data issues.
- Apply data governance, security and access controls in line with Zurich standards.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and other stakeholders to provide well-structured, reliable data for models and analytics.
- Contribute to the operation and improvement of Databricks jobs, workflows and environments.

- Proven experience in data engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on skills in Python and SQL.
- Practical experience with Azure Databricks or PySpark and Delta Lake.
- Solid understanding of data (i.e. dimensional) modelling, performance optimisation and data quality.
- Experience deploying data solutions into production environments, including CI/CD using Git and Databricks Asset Bundles (or similar tooling).
- Familiarity with Azure – DevOps, Management, Settings.
