Zurich Insurance is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our global Integrated Benefits team as a Business Analyst Team Lead with Technical Skills. In this important role, you will collaborate closely with our Business Units and Group functions to provide support and drive agile enhancements for Corporate Life and Pension global systems.

Working in an agile environment, you will have the opportunity to bring your business analyst skills and hands on approach to contribute to the growth and enhancements of the CLP solutions in support of the business needs.
Your role
As an IT Senior Business Analyst your main accountabilities will involve:
- Lead a team of business analysts, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Oversee the gathering and documentation of both functional and non-functional business requirements from relevant business functions, business BA Lead, ensuring management stakeholder sign-offs.
- Produce detailed technical requirement specifications throughout the agile iterations project life cycle, incorporating change requests. Ensuring due diligence for impact assessments are completed for all major changes.
- Ensure alignment of requirements with system architects, comprehension by technical teams, and that the proposed solution design meets business requirements.
- Lead the team in an agile project environment by producing clear user stories, maintaining the backlog, prioritizing stories with the Product Owner, and managing the development team's work within sprints.
- Assist in defining the implementation plan, considering various applications involved, other ongoing project initiatives, and all internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Test Manager and testers to ensure QA tests are complete before the solution is submitted to business users.
- Participate in application testing, configuration activities, and training of end-users.
- Work closely with the project manager for risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high-level plan.
- Facilitate Scrum events such as daily standups and other meetings as needed, ensuring effective communication and coordination within the team.
- Drive continuous improvement in agile working practices within the team.
Your Skills and Experience
As an IT Senior Business Analyst your skills and experience will ideally include:
- 7+ years of experience working on projects, with 5+ years as a technical business analyst, including experience in a leadership role.
- Technical background in software development.
- Adequate business analysis experience to plan, conduct, and facilitate workshops and one-on-one sessions with experienced business users and technical experts from different functions to gather and develop business solutions.
- Experience in scoping and prioritizing project activities with prior experience working in an agile development environment to deliver IT projects.
- Experience working in an international environment, accustomed to working across different countries and cultures.
- Experience in the insurance or finance industry.
- Proficiency with APIs and the ability to document and explain data requirements between various applications from a business perspective.
- Effective communication skills across different mediums and at all levels, with the ability to manage stakeholders in a complex environment where experienced business users have limited availability and competing priorities exist across the organization.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team where activities are based on capabilities, skills, and a willingness to help each other.
- Ability to take ownership of your activities and execute technical or business tasks independently, such as documenting results and executing tests, to ensure the project progresses according to the implementation plan.
- Capability to work independently from home and interact online with the team.
- Self-reliant, independent, proactive, and a good communicator.
- Languages: English is a must; other languages are a plus.
We offer
In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive, the minimum gross monthly compensation for this position, determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, is 3700 EUR/gross The final compensation package will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
