Our opportunity 

Specialist in Reinsurance Constructs and Accounting  #LI-Hybrid

Within the IPZ Reinsurance Constructs and Accounting team, we are seeking a specialist to focus on international reinsurance transactions with an end-to-end view.

In this role you will coordinate with regional Zurich offices to ensure accurate reinsurance transactions via the SAP/ZIRIS system and you will be responsible for the reconciliation and settlement process of these transactions with external reinsurers.

 

Your role 
As a Specialist in Reinsurance Constructs and Accounting, your main responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensure the correct set-up of Captive, CoReinsurance and Facultative Reinsurance structures within the SAP/ZIRIS system.
  • Timely and correct reconciliation of technical bookings with related cash items
  • Execution of technical bookings and related payments
  • Perform analysis on existing SAP/ZIRIS reinsurance structures and corrections as required
  • Clarifications related to cash clearing for any overdue un-cleared items.
  • Monitor progress and report on delays, develop action plans to reduce impact on closing processes where required.
  • Data analysis and interpretation to identify patterns and proactively provide solutions.
  • Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders and maintain good relationships with them.
  • Continuous review, documentation and improvement of existing internal processes
  • Active participation at project work and training initiatives

 

Your Skills and Experience  
As a Specialist in Reinsurance Constructs and Accounting, your skills and experience will ideally include: 

  • 2 or more years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry
  • Completed academic education on Bachelor’s degree level or similar
  • A good understanding of international program business and knowledge of SAP FS-CD is a strong asset
  • Very good analytical skills to combine the relevant information, to form general rules and/or draw conclusions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and proactively identify potential issues or risks
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Team player with strong intercultural and communication skills, ability to drive change.
  • Open minded and enthusiastic person who likes to learn and has a drive to get things done
  • Fluent English is a prerequisite; any further language is an asset
  • Flexible approach in a constantly changing environment
  • PC literate with advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint

 

We offer

In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive, the minimum gross monthly compensation for this position, determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, is 1 850 EUR/gross. The final compensation package will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
