Automation Engineer Trainee

We are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer Trainee with a passion for technology, software quality, and test automation. The ideal candidate is eager to learn modern automation frameworks, AI-assisted development tools, and software testing best practices.

Your role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright / Claude Code.
• Support web, API, and regression testing activities.
• Learn and use Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and other AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Contribute to test execution, defect reporting, and test documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
• Use Git for version control and Azure DevOps for work item and test management.

Your Skills and Experience

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of software testing concepts.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or a similar language.
• Basic understanding of web technologies and REST APIs.
• Basic knowledge of Git (commits, branches, pull requests).
• Basic familiarity with Azure DevOps.
• Strong willingness to learn new technologies and tools.

Additional information

• Internship duration: at least 1 year part-time/internship program with the possibility of prolongation
• Location(s): Bratislava
• Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week, possibility to accommodate working hours
• Wage: 8 EUR/hour Gross
