Our Opportunity
Junior Pricing Analyst supporting Zurich Nordic #LI-Hybrid
Immerse yourself in the world of data-driven decision-making by joining the EMEA Pricing and Analytics Hub and working closely with the Nordic Pricing team. In this role, you will assist the Nordic Chief Pricing Actuary with key pricing initiatives, portfolio profitability management and process optimization.
This role offers a great opportunity to develop your technical skills and business knowledge in the area of commercial non-life insurance. You will enhance your R programming skills, learn best coding practices and gain proficiency in version control through both daily work and participation in training sessions.
Your role
As a Pricing Analyst, your main responsibilities will involve:
- Preparing data for actuarial analyses using scripting languages such as R
- Developing performance monitoring and portfolio management tools
- Automating and optimizing processes to improve operational efficiency
- Supporting the Chief Pricing Actuary with profitability reviews and pricing initiatives
- Communicating analytical insights to stakeholders
- Collaborating with the Nordic underwriting leadership and the wider business including other functions and the management team
Your Skills and Experiences
As a Pricing Analyst, your skills and experience will ideally include:
- A Master's degree in actuarial science, mathematics/statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, natural sciences or any other numerate degree
- English language spoken and written at a high level
- Previous experience in general insurance is advantageous but not required; the role is suitable for recent graduates
- Strong programming skills; experience with R or Python an advantage
- Proficiency in Excel
- Natural curiosity and eagerness to learn
- Team player with good communication skills
- A creative, open-minded and proactive mindset
- The ability to adapt quickly to new challenges
We offer
Compensation for roles at Zurich depends on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific role, skill set, level of experience, and subject to applicable law. Zurich thus provides a range of compensation aligned to internal job architecture and market benchmarks to ensure fair and consistent pay for comparable roles. The starting base salary range for this position is 1930 EUR.
