Senior Business Analyst #LI-Hybrid
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team. This person would be working as a Senior Business Analyst, acting as a bridge between an actuarial department and IT developers for a global project related to the development of a custom-made application which is used for the consolidation of financial and actuarial data.
Your role
As a Senior Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:
- As part of the product owner team work on operations, development and testing of the product throughout the whole life cycle.
- Work closely with customers, developers, IT and users.
- Understand customer’s requirements, objectives, and processes to make recommendations for a correct and most efficient implementation.
- Elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and document functional specifications and business requirements at all levels of complexity.
- Present requirements to developers in the most effective way and then coordinate the development activities, be the go-to person for any questions.
- Perform all-around testing of new developments and existing application’s functionalities, including preparing the test plan and executing it in a timely manner, be accountable for the results.
- During reporting periods be responsible for master data, assist the customer with production of reporting deliverables and support users with their inquiries.
- Lead meetings and training sessions.
Your Skills and Experience
As Senior Business Analyst, your skills and experience will ideally include:
- University degree preferably in the field of finance, economics, math, IT or related.
- 4-5 years of experience with business analyst work (projects), preferably in the field of Finance.
- Advanced level of English, both in oral and written form, ability to communicate effectively through different mediums.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong analytical thinking, eager to gain financial and actuarial knowledge.
- Ability to spot details but also understand the context and bigger picture.
- Ability to perform complex tasks, prioritize, and work under pressure.
- Experience with Azure DevOps is welcome.
- Experience with SCRUM, ITIL, DevOps or Lean is welcome.
- Team player, accountable, proactive and adaptable to change.
