Senior Test Analyst #LI-Hybrid
A Senior Test Analyst is responsible for delivering all test activities within the assigned projects, and to implement processes and tests accelerating techniques.
Your role
As a Senior Test Analyst you will be accountable for end-to-end Quality Assurance of your assigned projects. Your main responsibilities will involve
- Create Test Plans in collaboration with testers and other team members (BAs, developers)
- Review and analyze product backlogs and collaborate with team members (Business Analysts, Developers, other testers) to define and/or understand acceptance criteria
- Develop test cases and test scenarios based on the system requirements, run peer-reviews and script the test cases as much as possible
- Participate in walkthroughs with respective business stakeholders
- Define and create test data for test execution
- Execute test cases as per the agreed testing plan and defined priorities, log and retest defects
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting of defects with developers and BAs
- Lead and participate in defect triage meetings and create test status and summary reports
- Training of other testers joining the team and support business user testing
- Report significant issues or concerns to other stakeholders (Product Owner, Technical lead, Test manager) before they escalate
- Lead and manage a team of testers to work on functional test preparation and execution
- Back up for some Test management activities when test manager is absent
Your Skills and Experience
As a Senior Test Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology and 4 or more years of experience in Testing and Quality Management
- At least 2/3 years in insurance industry.
- 3-4 years of experience with Agile frameworks and other methodologies (waterfall, V-model, hybrid)
- ITSQB Foundation Level, Certified Agile Tester or equivalent
- Good knowledge of databases, middleware, web services and related standards
- Positive attitude, strong communication (verbal and written) & interpersonal skills
- Team player and able to create and work in a collaborative environment
- Ability to discuss technical topics in business terms, including but not limited to give presentations to an audience with different level of technological maturity
- Fluent written and spoken English and German
Nice to have:
- Working knowledge of test management tools (Azure DevOps) and other Agile tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
- Experience or ability to develop new skills including test automation (REST-based / SOAP API with Postman or SoapUI, front-end with Selenium / UFT, open source frameworks)
- Knowledge in some programing languages (Java, Javascript, Python) and other tools/frameworks (Maven, TestNG, similar)
We offer
In accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive, the minimum gross monthly compensation for this position, determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, is 2 250 EUR/gross. The final compensation package will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

- Hybrid work: We would be happy to meet you in the office/ coworking space 3 times a week with the added flexibility of working from home on a weekly basis.
