Junior Credit Analyst - WKV & WKV Banking / Long Term Underwriting
As a Junior Credit Analyst, you will play a key role in assessing and managing credit risks for the German market within an international environment.
Your role
As a Junior Credit Analyst, your main responsibilities will involve:
- Analyze financial statements and key financial indicators of domestic and international corporate clients with guidance from experienced colleagues
- Support the assessment of transaction, counterparty, and group risks
- Prepare credit assessments and recommendations for review and approval
- Monitor existing exposures and support risk mitigation activities
- Collaborate closely with Credit Analysis teams in Germany and Bratislava
- Participate in discussions with brokers, policyholders, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and team projects
- Continuously develop expertise in corporate credit risk analysis and underwriting
Your Skills and Experience
As a Junior Credit Analyst, your skills and experience will ideally include:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in finance, banking, risk management, accounting, audit, or a related area
- Strong interest in corporate credit risk and financial analysis
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of financial statements and financial ratios
- Eagerness to learn and develop within an international environment
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Very good command of English
- German language skills are an advantage, but not required

We offer
Compensation for roles at Zurich depends on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific role, skill set, level of experience, and subject to applicable law. Zurich thus provides a range of compensation aligned to internal job architecture and market benchmarks to ensure fair and consistent pay for comparable roles.
The starting base salary range for this position is 1900 EUR / Gross.
