From October 2026, Zurich will enter the Australian personal home insurance market while expanding our existing motor footprint through a newly enhanced partnership with Honey Insurance. This is a significant milestone for our business, combining Zurich’s underwriting strength and claims expertise with Honey’s digital-first approach to deliver a faster, smarter and more seamless experience for customers.

 

As a Claims Manager, which we internally refer to as a Claims Advisor, you’ll play a key role in shaping this experience from day one. You’ll manage end-to-end motor claims and support customers during challenging moments, delivering clear, empathetic and efficient outcomes. Working within a high-performing claims team, you’ll help bring this new proposition to life and contribute to Zurich’s ambition to lead in digital insurance and customer experience.

 

You will also be responsible for the following:

 

  • Manage a portfolio of motor insurance claims from lodgement through to resolution, ensuring a smooth and timely customer journey
  • Deliver a consistently high-quality and empathetic claims experience that supports customers when they need it most
  • Assess coverage, liability and claim outcomes in line with policy wording, regulations and Zurich’s claims philosophy
  • Coordinate and engage suppliers and external experts to support effective claims assessment and resolution
  • Maintain accurate documentation and file notes to support compliant and defensible decision making
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, support vulnerable customers and minimise loss across the claims lifecycle

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

 

  • Experience in motor claims within general insurance
  • Understanding of claims handling practices including assessment, settlements and supplier management
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards such as the General Insurance Code of Practice
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain decisions clearly and effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A collaborative approach with a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic claims environment

 

This role operates on a rotating roster between 8am and 7pm Sydney time, Monday to Friday.

Recruitment for this opportunity will commence on Monday 6th July, with applications open through to Tuesday 21st July. We have 2 Claims Advisor roles available in the Motor Insurance team, and with strong interest expected, we encourage you to apply early to avoid disappointment.

 

If your application is shortlisted, you’ll first have an initial conversation with our recruitment team to learn more about the role and share your experience. From there, successful candidates may be invited to attend an in-person assessment centre on Wednesday 29th July, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet the team and experience what it’s like to work at Zurich.
