Senior Strategy Manager
Zurich North America is currently looking for a Senior Strategy Manager for our Strategy team in Chicago/Schaumburg. In this role, you will play a critical role in driving the strategy process for ZNA, operationalizing our strategic priorities, leading innovation initiatives and enhancing our business development opportunities. You will collaborate with our Business leaders on a wide variety of projects.
This is a critical role and requires strong stakeholder and influence management, excellent communication and team management/interpersonal skills, and experience navigating through a complex organization. The successful candidate must be able to build strong working relationships with both Internal and External Stakeholders and take a holistic approach to identify and address short and long-term business opportunities, develop, and execute on those solutions.
Key accountabilities include:
- Being a thought partner with the business and working with the executive leaders across business units to identify strategic priorities
- Leading teams of problem solvers, simplifying and solving the most complex challenges facing Zurich North America and taking solutions from idea inception to implementation
- Challenging traditional ways of thinking, inviting leaders and teams to look at problems from a variety of perspectives and develop innovative, and forward thinking solutions
- Managing and developing cross-functional teams
- Facilitating the preparation of materials for key external presentations and internal business discussions
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10 or more years of experience in Strategy / Management consulting or similar roles
- AND
- 5 or more years of Project Manager level experience
- Strong understanding of the Commercial Insurance Industry
- Experience in working closely with C-suite on strategically relevant topics
- Experience in managing and developing teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong Insurance Industry experience, forward thinking with the ability to identify trends within the industry
- Great people manager
- Ability to work in an ambiguous, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and advanced spreadsheet/database skills
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills with the ability to adjust messages to varying levels of audience

Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $149,500 -$244,900, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 25%.
