AI Development Framework Engineer
#ZCC
ZUrich Capability Center is looking for an:
AI Development Framework Engineer
About the role
Once a prototype is validated, someone needs to turn it into something that can live within the real CES (Cloud Enterprise Services) architecture. This role takes POCs, puts them into a production environment, and builds reusable components that the rest of the team will use to integrate AI into the platform.
Responsibilities
- Extend and maintain the CES module — the core of AI services on the platform
- Define AI integration patterns within the DynamizeIT/CES architecture (Services, Workflows, Tasks, Operation Contracts)
- Build wrappers, internal SDKs, and abstractions on top of Azure AI Services so the team can easily consume them
- Ensure AI integrations meet the platform’s standards for security, performance, and scalability
- Implement document processing pipelines, facial validation, intelligent geolocation, and AI-driven conversation
- Write integration tests and technical documentation for components
Required Skills
AI-Assisted Development (mandatory)
- Professional use of Claude Code (Anthropic) or equivalent tool as a productivity amplifier — not as a crutch
- Ability to orchestrate complex multi-file tasks with AI agents within a legacy enterprise codebase
- Understands the limits of AI agents in legacy code: knows when to delegate and when to take manual control
- Uses AI to accelerate code reviews, test generation, technical documentation, and change impact analysis
- Experience integrating Claude API / OpenAI API directly into applications (not only consuming them as external services)
Backend & Architecture
- C# / .NET Framework 4.7+ and .NET 6/7/8 (solid level)
- Architecture patterns: Services, Workflows, Dependency Injection, Plugin patterns
- REST APIs, WCF, Azure SDK integrations
- Concurrency handling, async/await, robust error handling
Cloud & AI
- Azure AI Services (Document Intelligence, OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure Maps)
- Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault
- Semantic Kernel for orchestration of agents and LLMs
- Azure DevOps / CI-CD Pipelines
Frontend (basic)
- Angular / TypeScript — enough to integrate AI components into the CES frontend
Database
- SQL Server — queries, stored procedures
- Knowledge of storage patterns for embeddings / vectors (nice to have)
Critical Soft Skills
- Discipline to write clean and maintainable code (this is not a lab)
- Ability to work with legacy code (.NET) without breaking anything
- Clear technical communication to explain architectural decisions
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure AI Foundry / Prompt Flow
- Knowledge of the insurance domain
- Experience with Aspose (PDF processing already used in the platform)
- Basic Python for data/AI scripts when needed
