Azure API Developer

We are seeking an experienced Azure API Developer with approximately 4 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and managing APIs within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API development, cloud-native architectures, and integration patterns, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain RESTful APIs using Microsoft Azure services.
  • Build and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
  • Develop backend services using .NET / JAVA
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Azure AD).
  • Integrate APIs with cloud and on-premises systems.
  • Ensure API performance, scalability, monitoring, and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience as an API or Backend Developer.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including:
    • Azure API Management
    • Azure App Services
    • Azure Functions
    • Azure Logic Apps (nice to have)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles.
  • Experience with authentication and security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, Azure AD).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with source control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
