At Zurich Capability Center, we are looking for a:

 

MuleSoft Developer

 

Specific duties include: 

 

  • Working closely with the Business, other application teams and the Integration Architect to understand Zurich’s business/application needs. 
  • Creating and Supporting APIs for ZNA’s mobile applications 
  • Understanding Business Requirements, performing impact analysis and assessing technical challenges/feasibility in achieving required business outcome 
  • developing APIs using MuleSoft platform components including API Manager, Cloud Hub, Anypoint Studio and Anypoint MQ 
  • testing and improving performance of the APIs in terms of response time, reliability and resource usage 
  • Troubleshooting complex production issues with APIs, identifying source of the issue and fixing/working with the appropriate team to get the issue fixed 
  • Serve as technical lead on projects to design, develop, test, document, and deploy robust integration solutions on the MuleSoft platform. 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area 
    OR 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • MuleSoft Developer certification is preferred 
  • 4 years of experience working with: 
  • MuleSoft API development and cloud hub and RTF environments. 
  • service design using RAML (with JSON) and ODATA 
  • Azure API development experience preferred 
  • Integration Architecture concepts, principles, and patterns to design API, Service Oriented Architecture, Batch Integration, and RESTful JSON services 
  • cloud-based technologies and integration to technologies hosted in Azure 
  • Proficiency in Java (OpenJDK). 
  •  OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) principles. 
  • Expertise in converting APIs from SOAP to REST.
  • Experience on OpenAPI Specification (Swagger) for API documentation. 
  • Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data). 
  •  Understanding of JSON, XML, and data serialization/deserialization. 
  • SQL query optimization and database design. 
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL, DB2).
  • Version Control – GitHub (branching, merging, pull requests). 
  •  API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Swagger UI
  • Build Tools – Eclipse and others  
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines 
  • Knowledge and experience on Containerizing the API using Docker
  •  Fixing / Addressing the code vulnerabilities reported by code quality tools like Veracode / SonarQube.
