Zurich Capability Center is currently hiring a:

 

Scrum Master

As a Scrum Master within the My Zurich Brio – Digital Transformation Program supporting Life, Accident and Health BU, the candidate will play a pivotal role in driving agile methodologies and ensuring the successful implementation of projects that contribute to the overall transformation goals. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in Scrum, agile practices. Good understanding of the Accident and Health Products and experience implementing products leveraging a B2P2C distribution model.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Agile Facilitation:

             • Facilitate and lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) ensuring adherence to Scrum principles.

             • Foster a collaborative and iterative environment, promoting effective communication and cooperation among cross-functional teams.

2. Team Empowerment:

             • Support and empower development teams to self-organize and make decisions that lead to high-quality deliverables.

             • Identify and address impediments to ensure team progress and remove any obstacles hindering project success.

3. Project Planning and Execution:

             • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize user stories and product backlog items.

             • Ensure the team's work aligns with business objectives and goals, delivering value incrementally in each sprint.

4. Continuous Improvement:

             • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team and organization.

             • Utilize metrics and feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for enhanced efficiency and productivity.

5. Risk Management:

             • Proactively identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or quality.

             • Work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration:

             • Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals with overall business objectives.

             • Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders regularly.

7. Coaching and Mentoring:

             • Provide guidance and coaching to team members on agile practices, Scrum principles, and best practices.

             • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master supporting Large, Complex IT transformation programs, preferably within the Accident & Health insurance domain.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, with the ability to tailor them to suit the specific needs of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in working with the JIRA tool, including creating Dashboards to track progress, managing capacity, burn down, and overall workstream progress.
  • In-depth understanding of End-to-End Policy Administration System flow, encompassing Rate, Quote, Bind, and Issuance processes.
  • Capable of performing Project Management tasks for the program and leading assigned workstreams.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and align on dependencies, schedules, key milestones, and support scrum team needs.
  • Advanced English level.
