Claims Handler Liability and Financial Lines
Zurich Insurance Benelux is currently looking for a positive and outgoing Claims Handler for Liability & Financial Lines to join our team in the Netherlands. Zurich is one of the most specialized insurance companies within non-life insurance for local and international business in the Netherlands’ market. Our Netherlands’ Claims department works with a wide range of claims within different Lines of Business for customers in the Netherlands as well as in the rest of the world.
This is a hybrid role where you will be working from our office in The Hague, the Netherlands. Parttime (minimum 80%) is possible.
Key Accountabilities
As a Claims Handler, your main responsibility will be to handle Liability claims of different complexity in the most effective, proactive, and efficient way whilst delivering excellent claims service supporting both the customer and Zurich. Communicate with all stakeholders, such as customers, brokers, claimants, experts, underwriters, and claim colleagues. The job includes gathering of relevant evidence and information to accurately assess the value of the claim and to recognize potential fraud/recovery indicators. Your responsibilities include:
- Asses and determine claims, within the approval authorization frame, on insurance policies on liability & financial lines
- Undertake effective investigation to enable accurate and prompt liability decision making
- Set up and coordinate the process and assess the need for (external) expertise
- You will effectively capture all new claim reports and other relevant information with accuracy
- Effectively manage the claim journey and expectations whilst maximising the utilisation of our chain suppliers (brokers)
What are we looking for?
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree, a law background is preferable
- Preferably a few years of experience of working within a technical Liability claims environment, experiences with handling of bodily injury claims are a plus
- Good Technical knowledge along the claims handling core processes
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English are required
