Zurich Insurance Benelux has an excellent opportunity for you to become our MGA (Managing General Agent) Relationship Leader. This role has been launched as part of our strategy to accelerate our growth in the Middle Market and MGA business. As MGA Relationship Leader you will become a part of the Middle Market team and play a crucial part in managing, coordinating, and ultimately developing the portfolio of MGAs alongside the Head of Middle Market and Head of Market Management.
This is a hybrid role where you will be working from our office in The Hague, Netherlands. Parttime (minimum 80%) is possible.
Key Accountabilities
In this role you are the go-to person for our MGAs and internal colleagues with a focus on new business opportunities as well as retention on existing MGA business. You ensure the correct follow up within the MGA Governance framework, lead the onboarding of new MGAs, and managing existing relationships. In addition to this, your responsibilities include the following:
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the MGA portfolio, from A to Z in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Establish strong relationships with MGAs to assure profitable portfolios combined with excellent service
- Develop and take the lead in market presence for potential and existing partners via meetings, webinars, events and trainings
- Complete activity and call reports on customer visits, quotations, prospects etc.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify gaps, and recommend actions to management (e.g., terminate agreements).
- Continue to create an MGA culture at Zurich Benelux
- Examine customer potential and needs by analysing trends in portfolio
- Create business cases in collaboration with underwriting business lines for solutions- and product development
- Sales funnel steering: prepare prospect and target lists for business lines and follow up on sales lifecycle
What are we looking for?
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in MGA management or related field
- Fluency in English and Dutch, French is an asset
- Willingness to travel to our office in Belgium when necessary
- Able to build solid and strategic relationships with colleagues at all levels and MGA’s
- Expert in use of analytical tools and understanding of reporting systems
- Proven project management skills
