Product Owner

Zurich Insurance Benelux has an excellent opportunity for you to become our Product Owner! As a part of our strategy to accelerate our growth in the Middle Market and MGA business, Zurich Insurance Benelux has recently established a Middle Market department. As a Product Owner you will become a part of this Middle Market team and play a crucial role in the development, monitoring, analyzing, perfecting, and introduction of our products. Ultimately contributing to the growth and success of the department and portfolio.

This is a fulltime (parttime, minimum 36 hours p/w is possible) hybrid role where you will be based out of our office in The Hague in the Netherlands.

Key Accountabilities

You will oversee proposition frameworks to ensure they comply with Business Unit policies. You review the product development pipeline, provide governance feedback, and assess the need for Business Unit approval. You ensure effective proposition development and management by reviewing risks, guarantees, suitability, and other key areas. Your responsibilities include:

• Product development Market & customer (MGA) analysis
  • Internal Risk Appetite analysis and guidelines
  • Development of (multiline)  products in close collaboration with different stakeholders in line with requirements of the Zurich Way of Product incl POG process
  • Technical implementation of products within external third party suppliers
• Continuous analysis
  • Profitability & sales analysis of individual products
• Maintenance of products
  • Acting on trends/changes in the market/internal developments
• Communication/marketing
  • Contribute to internal and external marketing and communication
  • Set up online knowledge environment for MGA’s, customer panels, and product training for MGA’s and brokers
  • Support in setting up product launch events

• Analyze current suppliers within product range and review contracts
• Active attitude towards acquisition and training of subsequent product owners

What are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience in Product development
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Experience with Sector Orange or AWI
• Expert in use of Microsoft Office tools
• Strong analytical, communication, and planning skills
• Diploma “Gevolmachtigd Agent” is an asset
