Solution Architect

The standalone ADM team is responsible for development and enhancements of applications used by several Zurich Insurance business units (Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden). The Solution Architect will learn the existing applications base and landscape and start giving support to the team and business. She or he will have the opportunity to participate in the feature extensions and also have an opportunity to participate to the modernization of the existing landscape.

This role might include some travelling.

Responsibilities:

• Own, shape and deliver the architectural strategy of adapting to, and leveraging public clouds
• Guide internal teams to ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services following relevant Architecture Principles
• Produce architectural design patterns to projects, driven within own area or as contribution to other areas
• Lead or participate in creation of Architectures
• Support and train others in how to use the Architecture in daily work with maintenance and development
• Provide one to few and one to many training sessions in transfer knowledge to internal teams about Cloud technologies
• Capture and share the best-practice knowledge on Cloud technologies in internal tech communities

• Responsible for the establishment of an IT Architecture practice, and the adoption of an architecture and standards methodology
• Manages activities that take place during solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation
• Communicate the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborates and coordinates with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures.
• Directly assists in the development of a solutions architecture program for IT systems architecture
• Assures solutions not only are a fit for the specific purpose but also closely align with the standards guidelines of technology solutions
• Provides analysis of security protection technologies as necessary

Skills and competencies:

• Knowledge about Windows Platform and Azure Cloud
• Experience with web technologies and building enterprise architecture
• Designing, integrating, and managing design patterns for projects
• Comfortable to be overall responsible for the platforms technical and security architecture
• Ability to communicate technical solutions and best-practice knowledge with other colleagues and partners
• Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel
• Experience with Visual Studio, .Net, .Net Core, C#, SQL Server, ASP.net core web API, Git, HTMT5, CSS, Typescripts, JavaScript

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a solution architect
• Good experience with Azure Cloud and Windows platform
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• A degree in computer science
• Experience in insurance domain would be beneficial
• Fluent in English is a requirement
