Financial Risk and Control Assistant
Location: Douglas, Isle of Man

The opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Finance team, supporting the Financial Risk and Control (SOX) Manager by providing expertise in financial risk and controls.
Key responsibilities:
- Collating and reviewing information and submissions of control evidence, including reconciliations and other financial controls.
- Reporting on the completeness and accuracy of controls and control evidence.
- Support the development of new controls for the Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (“ICFR”) framework.
- Assisting in improvement of existing controls for the ICFR framework and risk reporting.
- Working with the finance team in ensuring a robust control environment.
- Support the quarterly control attestations.
- Assist the annual scoping and Design Effectiveness Testing (“DET”) and Operational Effectiveness Testing (“OET”) cycles.
Your skills and experience:
- Experience within a financial reporting role or financial control’s role.
- Experience of financial risk and control environments would be beneficial.
- Strong PC skills including working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access.
- Previous experience using SAP ERP in an operational accounting role would be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to prioritise tasks and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised with great attention to detail who seeks ways to improve processes.
- Be numerate, hardworking and enthusiastic with an ability to take ownership and responsibility for customers and own actions.
