Head of Investment Strategy & Delivery

Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Investment Strategy & Delivery to lead our investments team. This is a pivotal role, responsible for overseeing strategic plans and projects within the Investments function, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery while driving Zurich’s key initiatives forward.
As the Head of Investment Strategy & Delivery, you will:
- Lead the team by providing strategic direction and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Act as deputy to the Chief Investment Officer, representing the investment function in executive meetings, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring continuity of leadership when required.
- Provide technical leadership and expertise, ensuring investment changes and project interactions are efficient, effective, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive business growth.
- Monitor and analyse third-party oversight and mandate compliance across all investment contracts, including balance sheets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement mitigating actions to manage potential risks.
- Help the business achieve its objectives while minimising regulatory and reputational risks.
Your skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of investments is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in operations, project management, and international markets (desirable).
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Agile approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Passes or exemptions from some core principles exams of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, but applicants with no exam passes will be considered.
- Strong degree or equivalent in Economics or Investment related subject desirable.
