Are you ready to lead the way in pensions administration? ZIPAL is searching for a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of ZIPAL to steer our domestic and international pension trustee business. This is your opportunity to combine expert regulatory knowledge with a commercial mindset—driving sustainable growth and delivering outstanding value for our clients.

 

What will you be doing?

As Head of ZIPAL, you will:

  • Lead & Inspire: Guide and motivate a high-performing team, championing a culture of excellence, integrity, and collaboration.
  • Trustee & Regulatory Oversight: Act as principal trustee for both international and domestic pension arrangements, ensuring robust oversight and safeguarding member interests.
  • Compliance & Best Practice: Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. Champion best practices in governance, risk management, and reporting.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Serve as the main contact for HMRC, IOM Income Tax Division, IOM FSA, and the IOM Association of Pension Scheme Providers. Maintain strong regulatory relationships, share insights, and ensure all communications are documented and escalated as appropriate.
  • Legislative Change Leadership: Provide feedback on legislative amendments and oversee the implementation of required changes.
  • Business Development: Identify and execute growth opportunities across domestic and international markets. Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and stakeholders.
  • External Representation: Represent ZIPAL at regulatory, industry, and client forums, enhancing Zurich’s reputation as a trusted and innovative leader in pensions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with legal, compliance, proposition, and commercial teams to deliver customer-focused, integrated solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Keep up-to-date with evolving regulations across all ZIPAL jurisdictions.
  • Board & Committee Participation: Manage day-to-day operations and approvals for the Trustee Board, and contribute actively to Board, Management Committee, and Trustee meetings.

 

What are we looking for? 

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced: A pensions professional with trustee, governance, or fiduciary expertise, ideally across both domestic and international environments.
  • Qualified: STEP Trustee qualification holder (or working towards it).
  • Regulatory Expert: Deep knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, with the ability to interpret, implement, and champion best practices.
  • Commercially Savvy: Proven track record in business growth, client development, and identifying new market opportunities.
  • Inspiring Leader: A collaborative leader with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
