  • Investigate, resolve and appropriately escalate reconciling items, balance sheet discrepancies and outstanding queries.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, supporting documentation and audit-ready evidence, ensuring clear audit trails at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Finance, Operations and the wider business to obtain information, resolve issues and support timely reconciliation outcomes.
  • Provide reconciliation evidence, explanations and documentation to support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Support the integrity of underlying accounting records by identifying discrepancies, documenting actions and following issues through to resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen controls, increase automation, improve efficiency and simplify ways of working.

Skills, knowledge & experience:

Technical Skills:

We're interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience within a finance, reconciliation, administration, operations or process-driven environment would be advantageous.

  • The ability to follow established processes, procedures and controls consistently.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve queries effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • A willingness to learn new systems, processes and reconciliation tools.
  • Previous experience within financial services, life and pensions, finance operations or reconciliations would be beneficial, although this is not essential.

What we're looking for:
