Commercial Insurance Middle East is looking for a Junior Claims Adjuster to join and play a key role in the expansion of our Claims Team. This individual will help and support the Claims Coordinator control in administrative, data entry and processing tasks. It is envisaged they will also build their own portfolio of lower complexity claims to help resolve these claims for our customers. They will build a technical knowledge whilst maintaining a strong customer-centric service and supporting our Zurich Middle East claims strategy.
Job Accountabilities
As Junior Claims Adjuster, your main responsibilities will involve:
- Supporting the team in administrative data entry and processing tasks
- Working and contributing as part of a busy and established team.
- Following Claims best practices, standards and procedures.
- Learning and developing a strong claims handling knowledge.
- Focusing on data input accuracy and task completion.
- Managing proactively assigned cases to conclusion by determining coverage by gathering and analysing relevant facts.
- Establishing timely reserves and performing ongoing reviews throughout the claims-cycle by estimating and validating the value of claims.
- Negotiating claims settlements by utilising available tools and resources within authority limits.
- Ensuring case files are maintained in a timely and comprehensive manner.
Job Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Must have a University or College Degree (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of experience working within an Insurance operation environment ideally in a Claims operation environment.
- Insurance related Certificate from CII or CILA is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and data input accuracy.
- A strong team member with a desire to learn and develop.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with an investigative ability.
- Fluency in English language skills, both written and spoken. Arabic desirable but not essential.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
