Job Summary
Zurich Life Assurance plc is looking for an Underwriting Administrator for our Medical Post Team in the Underwriting Department of the Life side of the business (Life and Protection).

Your Role
As an Underwriting Administrator your role will heavily involve the processing of payments to doctors for Zurich medical reports of New Business Risk applications. The candidate will need to provide a high degree of accuracy, possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to organise their own flow of work within the department.
As the Underwriting Administrator your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
• Processing payments of doctor’s fees for Zurich medical reports, ensuring accuracy in making these payments.
• Handling emails in the New Business Medical Post mailbox on a daily basis and responding to emails/queries regarding fees; eg, prepayment requests or requests to agree a fee amount with a surgery.
• Dealing with medical post that is received daily via Indexing (attaching the post to the case and looking after the payment of the doctor’s fee)
• Setting up Nurse Medicals twice daily on the external nurse medical system.
• Downloading nurse medicals and attaching them to the case.
• Liaising with the underwriters regarding fee approvals.
• Contacting doctors surgeries via email or from time to time by phone if the need arises regarding queries on fees.
• Liaising with other departments from time to time, eg Accounts Dept, Claims Dept, Postal Dept (OPU)

Additional Information
Primary work location is Blackrock. Position is Dublin-based. This is a hybrid role which will require 1-2 days in office (Blackrock) per week.
