Zurich Insurance PLC is looking for a Business Analyst ( SEAR) to join the Zurich Insurance Plc (ZIP), Head Office Finance team in IFSC on an 12 Month FTC

The Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) (including the Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR)) will put more emphasis on executives in Irish legal entities. This includes the clear definition and assignment of roles and responsibilities, taking reasonable steps to discharge of duties and enhanced fitness and probity requirements.
ZIP have commenced a project to prepare for the implementation of the Individual Accountability Framework requirements.

As a Governance Specialist you will support the business in reviewing existing Fitness & Probity processes, as well as assessing, documenting, and implementing the required processes for implementation of the IAF. You will work closely together with the Functions and Branches to define, assign, and document roles and responsibilities. 


 

Your Role

As a Business Analyst (SEAR) your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

  • To participate in and maintain the project structure which enables and supports the ZIP Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) to operate efficiently and effectively.  
  • To support and facilitate the development of and facilitating consistent execution of the project operating model gathering of information from stakeholders within the project operating model including the review and analysis of inputs from ZIP HO and all ZIP branches. 
  • To support the coordination of cross-functional processes, communication and deliverables.
  • Responsibility for the management and analysis of project data and the creation of relevant MI
  • Development  and maintenance of internal processes and systems, including SharePoint Sites, Workflow tools etc.

 

Main Accountabilities: 

  • Provision of timely and accurate information and services to support the IAF project team; 
  • Supports the ZIP IAF project by working closely with the core project team, together with representatives from other functions and local ZIP Branch management

 

This position will support the ZIP Programme Manager and the ZIP IAF project team. 
 

Your Skills & Experience

 

As a Business Analyst (SEAR) your skills and qualifications will include: 

Required

  • Previous governance project experience (with regulatory projects specifically)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Visio, etc. mandatory
  • Relevant Degree (Business / IT) or equivalent commercial experience; 
  • At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in a business and or compliance role  within a regulated financial services or legal environment. 
  • Practical understanding of the Insurance Industry is preferable; 
  • Ability to help plan and manage (where a requirement arises) company policy and processes to incorporate regulatory compliance requirements;
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
  • Ability to think clearly and logically;
  • Ability to establish and maintain constructive business relationships with all contacts inside and outside the Company;

Additional Information

Primary work location is IFSC based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
