GI Distribution Performance Manager
GI Distribution Performance Manager
Zurich Insurance Europe AG is looking for a GI Distribution Performance Manager to provide performance insights on Personal Lines (Direct & Partnerships), Business Lines, Engineering Inspections Services, and Marketing (Including TNPS).
You will bring your expertise in data analytics, business logic, and reporting to support the Heads of Distribution with strategic thinking by providing insight consistently, timely and reliably. You are focused on reporting an easily understood and representative view of actual ongoing performance in the Distribution functions (e.g., PL, BL, ZEIS, Marketing). Where necessary, you will support the development of existing performance monitoring frameworks and tools. Where they do not exist, you will identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), build performance monitoring frameworks around them, and support in the development of new tools (where needed).
You may be asked to support with insight and analytics for ad-hoc projects in the distribution functions or – where necessary – cross-functionally.
This role may be available part-time or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.
Your Role
As a GI Distribution Performance Manager your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- Provide monthly and weekly performance updates for the Director of Distribution and – where possible – provide analysis and commentary of performance against plans and targets in the distribution functions.
- Monitor and communicate performance regularly and ad-hoc for the distribution functions, including – but not limited to – personal lines, business lines, marketing, partnerships, and engineering.
- Identify opportunities and potential challenges in the horizon, communicating them briefly and timely.
- Develop Performance Monitoring Frameworks (where none exist) or enhance them (where they exist) by identifying Key Performance Indicators and standardizing their reporting for executive summaries.
- Support the development and enhancement of analytics tools in the business (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce, etc…), where appropriate.
- Develop the ability to drill into the granular detail of insights for the benefit and use of key stakeholders.
- You may be asked to participate in ad-hoc cross-functional data analytics projects representing Sales & Distribution.
- You may be asked to support in the production of material and/or insights for the purpose of audits.
Your Skills and Experience
As a GI Distribution Performance Manager your skills and qualifications will include:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in data analytics, finance, economics, marketing or similar.
- Strong experience in a commercial, distribution, sales management, performance management or business analysis role within insurance or financial services.
- Solid understanding of General Insurance products, distribution channels (especially broker/intermediated) and commercial drivers.
- Proven ability to interpret complex data and MI, draw out insight and translate it into practical actions.
- Advanced Excel and strong skills in data visualisation / BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau or similar).
- Excellent communication skills – able to present complex information in a clear, concise and engaging way to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a collaborative working style.
- High level of commercial awareness and focus on profitable, sustainable growth.
