Zurich Ireland is seeking a highly capable, organised and ambitious Junior Administrator to take on a demanding, temporary short term, six-month role within our busy Claims operation. This is a hands-on position with real responsibility. You will be expected to work accurately, meet deadlines, manage contesting priorities and take ownership of important data and administration activities.
This role may be available part-time or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.
Your Role
As a Junior Administrator your main responsibilities will include, but not neccessarily limited to, the following:
• Complete scheduled data checks, updates and reconciliations across claims systems and operational reports, maintaining a consistently high level of accuracy.
• Maintain and process bordereaux information, including reserves, payments and settlement-stage updates.
• Investigate and progress exceptions arising from robotic and administrative processes.
• Manage data accuracy for NCID submissions.
• Manage accurate data transmissions for Zurich Global’s International Programme (IPZ).
• Identify discrepancies, find the appropriate next step and route complex issues to the correct team, maintaining a clear record of the action taken.
• Manage work queues and legal-cost payment administration within deadlines.
• Complete finance-related data updates and assist with monthly payment and debt reviews.
• Identify recurring data or workflow issues and clearly highlight where follow-up or process improvement is required.
• Provide reliable postal and general administration support, including coordination between the Dublin and Wexford teams.
Your Skills and Experience
As a Junior Administrator your main responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
• Experience in the insurance industry.
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a willingness to develop more advanced spreadsheet and data-handling and analytical skills.
• Experience using Insure 90 Claims Management system and IDM document Management system
• Confidence in communicating clearly and professionally with colleagues and claims stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a willingness to check your own work and correct errors quickly.
• The discipline to prioritise tasks, manage your time and deliver work without constant supervision.
• A questioning, solutions-focused mindset, with a willingness to challenge unclear information and follow issues through to completion.
• Strong numerical ability and confidence in working with detailed information.
• Reliability, maturity and discretion when handling business and customer information.
• Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and learn new systems and processes quickly.
The successful candidate will be trusted with meaningful operational tasks and will be expected to contribute from an early stage.
Additional Information
Primary work location is Blackrock, Dublin. Position is Dublin-based but occasional travel may be required to other Zurich locations.
