The opportunity:
We’re on an exciting journey within our Central Data Office utilising the latest in cloud data platforms to deliver new business insights across our UK business, with the opportunity to make a real difference for our colleagues.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable building insightful dashboard and reports in a fast paced and rapidly evolving environment. You will be competent in PowerBI or QlikSense development and be able to utilise your existing knowledge to support existing analytics solutions that are already in production.
You will be competent insight developer who has a passion for continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to deliver value for our business, also supporting colleagues in driving adoption of reports and dashboards through facilitating and creating training content. You will also have excellent communication skills in a collaborative environment and able to deliver projects both individually and as part of a team.

What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, development and maintenance of the PowerBI/QlikSense applications
- Comfortable with data modelling
- Solid exposure to scripting languages (including DAX language and Power query)
- Experience in front end PowerBI/ QlikSense development and dashboard design
- Creating and maintaining technical or procedural documentation for dashboards and reports developed.
- Extracting, transforming and loading data from multiple sources into PowerBI/ QlikSense applications.
- Experience of SQL coding language is advantageous
- Business partnering with stakeholders to understand, clarify and deliver requirements to meet project objectives
- Support the adoption of Governance standards for reporting and Insight, driving best practices and ensuring adherence to them.
What are we looking for?
- Excellent communicator who is comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, clarify ambiguity and challenge assumptions
- Strong analytical and logical mindset, ability to ask the right questions to deliver the right business outcomes
- In-depth experience of Insight application development utilising PowerBI or QlikSense
- Experience in data modelling, preparation and dashboard design
- Experience of design-led thinking would be an advantage, but not essential
- Experience in data storytelling principles and techniques
- Experience in training colleagues in the use of insight applications would be an advantage
