Assistant Business Development Manager (Bancassurance / General Insurance)

Job Summary

• As a key member of Zurich’s Bancassurance team, assist Business Development Manager to develop win-win solutions and relationships for Zurich’s bank partners and promote business growth in Zurich’s bancassurance channel to introduce more customers to Zurich’s insurance products and deliver revenues to the overall business

Job Accountabilities

• Business Development: Assist in driving retail banking business, ensuring assigned targets are met
• Team Performance: Support the team in achieving sales goals and implementing effective sales plans
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with bank partners to secure continuous business growth
• Sales Support: Provide sales support for banking distribution channels, ensuring smooth collaboration with partner banks
• Reporting & Business Sense: Possess the ability to understand reporting requirements, prepare and submit reports that monitor business performance, and provide insights to management
• Market Research: Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and benchmarks against peer products
• Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to insurance and banking regulations, guidelines, and internal policies

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related fields
• Minimum 5 years in insurance, banking, or financial services, preferably in sales or business development
• Solid work exposure and with strong ability to promote insurance products through bank channels and close deals
• Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to engage with bank partners
• Capable of conducting market research and analyzing channel performance
• Familiarity with insurance regulations and product compliance requirements
• Good understanding of bancassurance products, insurance underwriting basics
• Certifications: Pass in insurance licensing exams (e.g., IIQE Papers I, II in Hong Kong) is preferred
